Q: What does the Modular Button do?
A: The modular button is a momentary contact button that provides a signal over an input
line on a device. It can be used in a number of scenarios. Some common users include a
panic button, driver arrival signal, and/or dial a pre-defined mobile number.
Q: How long is the Modular Button assembly?
A: The Modular Button is approximately 12 inches long.
Q: How many connections do I make using the Modular Button?
A: The Modular Button cable has two wires that are bare on the non-button end. The leads can be soldered or connected to another interface.

Q: How long is the Modular Cable?
A:
The Modular Cable is 15 feet long.
Q: Can the Modular Cable be purchased with the Modular Button?
A: Yes. There is a Modular Button/Cable bundle available.
Q: Do I have to use the Modular Cable with the Modular Button?
A: No. The Modular Cable is not required for proper operation.

Q: Can I use any sealed lead-acid battery with the controller?
A: Yes, but email us at info@intellimatics.net for recommendations.
Q: Is the controller easily installed?
A: Yes. There are six total connections. Two connections to the vehicle, two connections to the sealed lead acid battery, and two connections to the mobile device.
Q: Will the controller automatically switch from vehicle power to the battery?
A: Yes. It is designed to automatically switch from one power source to the other and back based on the vehicle being on or off.
Q: Do I have to re-charge my lead acid battery periodically?
A: No. The controller will charge the battery when the vehicle is on. |
